Blogger recognition rewards: Blogger responds

I know there are rules to follow when being honored an award and I may be breaking them right now and I am sorry.  I feel like the proper blogging etiquette is to respond in a reasonable timely manner when granted an award by a loyal follower. The truth is, I am late responding to the awards and I feel awful.

For anyone who may nominate me in the future, please allow me respectfully and honestly say that I may not respond to it by the rules only because I do not want to overwhelm my followers with reward blogs on their timeline. I say this in a kind and sincere manner.

So now I must ask, is it overwhelming? I must admit, I see up to 10 awards on my timeline per day and very rarely do I read them. I am here/looking to read solid and relatable content from my followers. But I’m not complaining. I am just being honest.

I appreciate all of feedback and I value the connections I have built with all of you over the last few weeks. I cannot express enough how thankful I am for such a positive community, and I am most certainly on your side as well.

I want to acknowledge the awards I was nominated for:

Please take a look at their content. The above bloggers are some of my most loyal readers, and vice versa. I assure you their content is interesting, full of humor, and relatable in some shape or form.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am sorry I am a party pooper. Let’s keep up all the good work!

      1. Ugh…I know that’s right. I’d hate to lose a loyal follower over it too. At least we acknowledge it!! Maybe you should write a blog like this too?? Just letting everyone know how you feel about it 🙂

  1. The acknowledgment is definitely enough! I too have been nominated for a few over time and this was the first one I ever followed the rules on myself. Like you, I think they kind of overwhelm the feed from the type of posts I want to read! You writing this is all the more reason to love you! 🙂

    1. Awh thank you Kristen!! So happy y’all are understanding. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks it is *kind of* overwhelming lol. They’re fun to do, I’m sure! And it’s an ego boost for sure. But after getting so many awards, it’s got to be tiring to keep responding huh?! Lol. Thanks again!! 🙂

      1. I just saw the picture you put with this, it’s hilarious! Girl, I actually told myself if I ever got any that I wouldn’t respond to them, not to be rude to any person who was kind enough to give them to me. But it simply isn’t in line with the things I want on my blog. It may sound a little superficial, but it’s not a “real” award so and if it were it might be a different story. I just happened to be in a good mood that day and felt like putting a smile on other people’s faces. Ha! I’m pretty sure it won’t happen again, maybe.

  2. Hello lovely!

I think your post is perfect :). Thank you for acknowledging my nomination<3 – I know that the awards are lovely and thoughtful as you mentioned but yes, they can be overwhelming.

I think each blogger is here for a purpose and handle the awards differently, so my love break the rules! Keep true to your blogging plan and never feel pressured for the awards, we are here to support you and learn through your content! Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more!
